Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 20, 2026
Resilience Psychiatry, P.C. (“Resilience Psychiatry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at resilience-psychiatry.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. Resilience Psychiatry provides this Privacy Policy to help you make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using the Site. This Privacy Policy only applies to Sites owned and/or operated by or for us, and upon which we have placed a “link” which, when “clicked”, transfers you to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy only covers information collected at this Site, and does not cover any information collected by any other website (unless otherwise specifically stated or disclosed by Resilience Psychiatry), its corporate affiliates, licensees or any other company
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to protected health information (PHI) we receive in the course of providing psychiatric care. Our handling of PHI is described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which is the document required by the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using or accessing the Site, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Finally, your use of the Site and any personal information you provide on the Site remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, posted at our Site, which governs your use of the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us.
When you contact us through the Site or by phone, when you request an appointment, or when you submit a form, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, the reason for your inquiry, and any details you choose to share. If you book through Zocdoc or another third-party booking platform linked from our Site, that platform collects information directly from you under its own privacy policy; we receive only the information needed to schedule and prepare for your visit.
Information collected automatically.
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically log your IP address, device type, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and the referring website. We use this information to operate the Site, protect against abuse, and understand how visitors use it.
Cookies and similar technologies.
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and local storage) to recognize your browser, remember your preferences, and measure how the Site is used. Some cookies are essential for the Site to function. Others are used for analytics. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.
Site Changes
Resilience Psychiatry reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter or add features to its Site that require you to register or otherwise provide additional personal information or to require registration to access its Site. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you may not be able to participate in or view some of the Site’s features. We do not sell, rent or share personal information collected with other people other than that specifically described herein.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and schedule appointments.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- Understand how visitors find and use the Site.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use information collected through the Site for cross-context behavioral advertising. Resilience Psychiatry may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. We may use both your personal information and certain non-personally-identifiable information to improve the quality and design of the Site and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing your preferences and trends.
3. How We Share Information
We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service, 2) legally required or, 3) permitted by you. For example:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate the Site (for example, our website host, analytics provider, and form-processing tools). These vendors are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Booking and telehealth platforms. If you choose to use Zocdoc or another third-party booking or telehealth platform linked from the Site, the information you submit to that platform is governed by its privacy policy, not ours.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, court order, or subpoena, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through our service or using our name name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.
- Business transfers. If our practice is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics (or a comparable analytics tool) to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and the website you came from. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. [If additional pixels or tags are in use — Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc. — list them here and disclose any advertising use.]
5. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site links to third-party websites, including Zocdoc, social media platforms, professional directories (such as Psychology Today, Healthgrades, and Doximity), and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. We do not control these third-party sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with any information.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through the Site. Unfortunately, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive medical, financial, or insurance information through the contact form or by ordinary email — instead, call us at (631) 371-4844 or use the secure portal we provide once you are an established patient. Furthermore, to protect your privacy and security, Resilience Psychiatry takes reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you profile access or making corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times. We also take steps to secure the data you submit to us, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our user data.
7. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you, including the right to know what we collect, to request a copy or deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the end of this policy. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. We do, however, treat children and adolescents as patients in our practice; in those cases, information is provided to us by a parent or legal guardian and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this Site Privacy Policy. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us so we can delete it. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a user under 13, please contact
