What Is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy (often called “talk therapy”) is a collaborative process between you and your mental health provider. Through structured conversation and evidence-based techniques, psychotherapy can help you:

  • Identify patterns of thinking and behavior that cause distress
  • Build coping strategies for stress, anxiety, or mood shifts
  • Improve relationships and communication
  • Strengthen emotional resilience and problem-solving skills

Our team uses approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrative psychotherapy, adapting sessions to each individual’s goals and needs.

Conditions We Treat Through Psychotherapy

  • Anxiety and panic disorders
  • Depression and mood issues
  • PTSD and trauma recovery
  • OCD and intrusive thoughts
  • Adjustment difficulties and life transitions
  • Behavioral and relationship struggles
  • Stress related to school, work, or caregiving

Our Approach

Psychotherapy at Resilience Psychiatry blends medical understanding with human connection. You may meet with one of our psychiatrists or our therapist for therapy alone, or integrate medication management for a more comprehensive approach. Each session is personalized and confidential, focusing on helping you:

  • Understand the root of your challenges
  • Build emotional awareness and resilience
  • Create realistic strategies for change
  • Maintain progress over time through regular follow-ups
